📽 The 2025 Geocaching International Film Festival - GIFF - is the tenth incarnation of the competition, and again attending a GIFF event in November will secure you both an evening of cacher-made cache-centric entertainment, and a special GIFF 2025 souvenir! Woohoo! 📽
🎥 When: 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Friday, November 14th, 2025
The film showing will start at 8:30 PM prompt and last around an hour. There will be time for caching chitchat and exchanging trackables.
🎥 Where: The Capitol Theatre (Auditorium #6)

• ♿️ Auditorium #6 is handicap accessible.
• 🎂 The Capitol Theatre opened on November 25, 1925, and its centennial birthday is very soon!
• 🅿️ Street parking should be available around the theatre, as parking meters are free after 6:00 PM until 1:00 AM.
🎥 Note: This is the very first GIFF screening event we will be holding, so bare with us newbies... There is a cost involved in renting the theatre room, so a donations box will be placed by the door. Your generosity is greatly appreciated, yet your contributions is not required and there is no suggested amount. This is in line with Groundspeak guidelines, and any excess over the entire cost will be donated to charity.

🎥 What: A gathering of geocachers to chat about caching and swap travel items, but also a family-friendly, hour-ish-long Geocaching film screening of mini movies made about geocaching, by geocachers, from around the world.

🎥 Who: Geocachers from far and wide. New to geocaching events or geocaching in general? You'll be made especially welcome. All films are family-friendly, so bring the kids too if you like.
🎥 What is GIFF?: From 6th-16th November, geocaching events will be held worldwide at which the finalist films from the 2025 Geocaching International Film Festival will be shown publicly for the first time. The films are suitable for all ages. Geocachers who attend and log this event will receive a special Souvenir on their profile. See here for more details.
🎥 Theatre room rules: No dogs, sorry. No smoking or vaping. No alcohol or drugs. You may bring food to share with others.
⚠️ In your Will Attend log, please include the number of people in your party, so I can track numbers. Theatre #6 has a capacity of 50 people. Unfortunately, if the number of attendees exceeds 50 people, we will have to close the attendance acceptance based on the 'Will Attend' log posting timestamp, and everyone after that will be put on the waitlist.
