El primer ferrocarril en llegar a Frutillar data del año 1907, momento en que se comenzó a desarrollar la zona que hoy es conocida como Frutillar Alto. En el año 2007, luego de estar en funcionamiento por 100 años, el servicio fue suspendido. Hoy en día la antigua estación es parte de las oficinas de la municipalidad de Frutillar, pero aún mantiene esa estética que hace a los nostálgicos de los trenes soñar con poder viajar a la zona en dicho medio de transporte.
Justo en frente de la ex-estación se encuentra la plaza de armas, lugar en que está escondido el contenedor.
The first railroad to reach Frutillar dates back to 1907, a time when the area now known as Frutillar Alto began to develop. In 2007, after being in operation for 100 years, the service was suspended. Today, the old station is part of the offices of the municipality of Frutillar, but it still retains the aesthetic that makes train enthusiasts dream of traveling to the area by this means of transport.
Right in front of the former station is the main square, where the container is hidden.
