Located in Woodman Point Recreation Reserve, south of Perth, lies a number of historical sites. Criss crossing the area west of the caravan park are a series of old train lines used to transport ammo to and from the main jetty. Multiple munitions buildings and remnants of bunkers can also be found scattered around the area, these were used to store cordite, a smokeless explosive used in ammunition, but don't worry, it's been abandoned since 1984 and poses no risk.
The area is now open to the general public to explore, but please take note that dogs are not permitted in this area and it is fenced off with main entry points to the East and West. We recommend parking your car in the main reserve car park, head towards the beach but locate the path and head South. Once you see a fenced off area with some no dog signs you should be able to find your way in.
