Geocache Description:

From this cache you will have a great view of the city of Corning’s iconic landmark – Little Joe Tower.
The cache is meant to blend in with its surroundings. It is located in a parking lot with some paid parking and some free parking (so just be mindful of where you park). Note: Google Maps may leave you outside the parking lot, but you can turn in on the left.

The tower's history—it was built in 1912 by Corning Glass Works (today, Corning, Inc.) and is 187 feet tall. It was used in a new process to make glass for thermometer tubes. It was decommissioned in the 1970s. If you’re visiting, you’re likely headed to the Corning Museum of Glass, which is well worth a couple of hours.

Little Joe Tower gets its name from the figure painted near the top of the structure, known as "Little Joe."

From this cache, it's a short walk to the base of the tower, where you can see it up close. There's also a wonderful sculpture of a person blowing glass.

You will need to have your own pen or pencil to sign the log. Thanks!
