The big "25" year is wrapping up! And what a year it's been! Do you have time and energy for just one more community event??? Sure you do! You're a geocacher! Just remember that "just one more cache" mentality!
*Priority one - there will be an awesome 'log' to sign!
*Then we'll get started with that well loved tradition of introductions!! Let's get to know each other! Share your geocaching handle and why you chose it, your real name (if you want to share!), how long you've been caching, personal stats you are particularly fond of, how you got into this silly game, and any other information you would like to share such as future goals, your favorite type of cache and let's hear your favorite geocaching adventure...it's your moment to boast!!
*What geocacher doesn't love a challenge!?! There will be no rapelling down a moss covered slope at this event, but there will be games!!Be ready! They will be really dumb!!
*What geocacher doesn't love accronyms?!?! Well we got ya covered there too! GTM! What is that you ask?? Geocacher Trail Mix!! Optional: Come with an unopened bag of something to add to a giant bowl that we will mix up and g pass back out in ... wait for it...ziplock bags (our FAV kind of bag!) for you to snack on while out signing logs, donating blood, looking suspicious and scratching up your geomobile while on the trail! Think small pretzels, nuts, M&M's, raisins, popcorn, dried fruit pieces...be creative and have fun with this!
*Have you claimed the locationless cache, GCA2025, Where's25? Daylight's burning! There will be a "25" sign for you to pose with so you can get this off your bucket list too!
*Geocaching proof via a pic, but no blurry selfie today! Group photo at 4:30 so come dressed as a geocacher!! Santa hats encouraged!!
*Bring yer trackables to trade or drop them off!
*There will be sugary food (think deserts!) and non-alcoholic drinks! Fueling up is always important for a geocacher!!
*Please note how many in your party so the party has enough party stuff!
The event will be held in the clubhouse/fitness center at the Foothills Apartment Complex at Swan and Sunrise. When you find the main leasing office, behind the big "Foothills" sign, descend the stairs on either side of that building (north or south) towards the west. The clubhouse is in the center at the rear of the building, under the "clubhouse/fitness center" sign. That's where we will be. There is parking on the east side of the building, but please do not use the reserved numbered spaces.
