'Ban This Book' by Alan Gratz
The Indian River County School Board in Florida voted to remove this children's novel about a fourth grader who created a banned books library after her school board banned multiple titles. School board members said they did not like that the book referenced other books. " Banning a book about book banning makes it feel like "they know exactly what they're doing and they're somewhat ashamed of what they're doing and they don't want a book on the shelves that calls them out," author Alan Gratz said in response to the ban.
