To The Trail III

Welcome to my FIVE (V) cache series as a tribute to GeoThiel and the MPAF caches around Fairport to commemorate my recent achievement of finding all active GeoThiel Hides. I completed this goal on 7/20/2024, with the cache 'To The Bridge 3' in High Tor!! I have always been a stickler for the MPAF hides due to thier unique challenging aspect, that I have yet to see any other cacher perfectly replicate. Most of thier hides are especially tricky despite being as plain and basic as it can get, which I love. Ever since I began caching in 2018, Perinton was saturated with all these hides, and I was just a beginner. These hides have since been some of the toughest around the area, and they were the ones I was finding first. I like to think because of this early exposure to tougher hides, it helped develop my "skills" for finding caches and really prepared me for the thousands of finds to come. As time went on though, theses caches have slowly been archived a little at a time, and only few remain. I have decided to change that and add my own seedlings series to try and replicate what the MPAF hides did for me in my early caching years, and bring them back to the present day...

MPAF Warning!!
This series mimics the 'To the trail ...' series by GeoThiel, and consists of 5 unique hides, which are all tricky in a different aspect. I plan to order them by difficulty, so the eariler ones in the series are the easiest and so forth. I will warn you though, I strategically chose very difficult GZ's to hide these in to really mimic the MPAF setting. Many of these hides will be hard, and even a little unfair I'd say, and this was 100% intentional... Good luck! 😈😈😈

This series is put in place along trails in Perinton. Majority are along the Crescent Trail, to which I believe is deserving of these hides, and many more. I hope by bringing folks back to these areas of the trail, that new hides will begin to pop up since this amazing trail system features 18 miles of trail, with dozens of loop trails and connector trails. This cache brings you to the Old Foley Road Section of the Crescent Trail!
