Geocache Description:

Finding a hay in a needlestack! Welcome to Kent Park, another park of Lansdowne featuring Darby Park. Upstream, you'll find the beautiful Oakview waterfalls along the Darby Creek path. The falls themselves are popular for families bbqing or doing a little fishing, and also attracts a fair number of runners. Kent park proper is mostly a continuation of that path as well as a lovely dogpark. The main feature of course is the architectural wonder that is the Lindbergh Bridge which leads across into Clifton Heights. The Library of Congress says the following about this 1928 structure.

The Lindbergh Bridge is a three span reinforced concrete bridge which was designed by the Delaware County Department of Public Works. With a main span of 259'4", it was the largest reinforced concrete arch bridge designed and built by the county. The bridge is a fine example of the twin ribbed, open spandrel, arcaded parapet structures which were being constructed during the early part of the 20th Century. The concrete lamp posts with colonial fittings were a distinctive embellishment on the bridge. The bridge was named in commemoration of Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh who, one year earlier, had completed the first solo flight of the Atlantic Ocean. At the time of consideration, adulation for Colonel Lindbergh had swept across America.

The cache is a bison tube at the end of the path heading towards another great visual structure, the St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, which is visible year-round but probably best in late fall and early spring without quite as much leaf color from the cache and the path approaching the cache. It may be useful to get in the Christmas spirit when looking for this cache as well, though its unlikely there'll be presents under the tree.
