A superb location on an awesome track: meet the Waterfall Creek Bridge on the Paparoa track. Use the doc website to prepare for your adventure into Paparoa National Park. You can reach this place on your mountain bike and on foot, both great ways of exploring this national park.
I very much liked this bridge and the views towards the waterfall. Even more so, because the first time I was here, the sun was setting and painted the shadow of the bridge and me on the rocks, so beautiful! When I passed this location on the way back and I still had my spare container with me, I decided this place should be 'decorated' with a geocache. So here it is, enjoy and stay safe!
A note on the location on the map: if you use the geocaching map view, you will notice the cache seems to be way downhill from the path. It is not! I measured the location quite accurately and I think the track is just not correctly drawn on this map. So no worries, no need to do any crazy climbing, the cache is next to a bridge pillar, see also below.
Detailed hint: Pororari side, right pillar (when facing bridge), walk over concrete block around pillar, step down next to bridge. Now reach down between the beams, under the beam closest to the path. Behind stone. Please replace as found, thank you!
