Cache #206
The Federation Council is a local government area located in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. This area was formed in 2016 from the merger of the Corowa Shire with its neighbouring Urana Shire. These caches are some random additions to encourage more visitors to this part of the world.
After an unsuccessful FTF in Howlong and then a long drive to do maintenance at acache to find a car parked nearby, I thought I would head a bit further north and place a cache in a patch of bush I have driven past a few times. It is a small remnant of Grey Box-White Cypress Pine Woodland that would have been the dominant vegetation for this part of the world. Now mostly cleared for agriculture, most remnants are now restricted to State Forests (theough they thin the box out), TSRs or like in this case roadside reserves. This one has a really nice chenpod understorey as well.
You will need your own pen for this one. Snakes might occur in the long grass. Parking is well clear of the road here.
Enjoy!
