Geocache Description:

While creating an Earthcache, I spotted this manmade structure. I found it interesting but could not include it in the Earthcache, so I created Multicache to share it with you. It is a short 2-stage multi with a short walk on the beach. This is a high muggle area, so please use stealth to retrieve the cache. Please walk away to sign the log, and be especially careful when putting the cache back in place.

This multicache is at the city of Carpinteria’s Tar Pits Park. From Carpinteria Avenue, take Concha Loma Avenue to Calle Ocho; park at the end of Calle Ocho and walk across the railroad tracks. This is an unsigned crossing, so carefully check the tracks before crossing. A signed crossing is available to the west on Palm Avenue near the entrance to the State Beach.

The posted coordinates will take you to the beach at the base of a cleverly disguised way to protect the restrooms from erosion. When doing the Earthcache, it took me a while to recognize that this was not a natural feature. If you have the same problem, move forty feet to your right.

Look at the structure. What two colors do you see? Type the colors from the bottom (4 letters) to the top (3 letters) into Certitudes to get the coordinates to the final; Brits may have some difficulty with this, as will people who are wild-guessing answers without being at the location.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
