Imagine it- You're camping at Big Lake and want to venture out a bit and start exploring. As you cruise along ASR 273, you turn off of onto Forest Road 87. "Why not?" you think to yourself, "This road looks like a nice way to see more of the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest!" As you drive along, you notice a pull-off to your right near a trailhead obscured by ponderosa pines. On your left, you see a quaint wooden bridge over a small gorge nestled in the rolling grassy hills. Seeing as you don't have a map, the trail off into the woods seems like an option for another day, so you turn towards the bridge and stroll out into the beautiful open area. As you cross the bridge, you become part of a picturesque scene. The grey boulders that poke out of the grassy hills contrast each other nicely. The pines and aspens beyond and behind you frame a timeless moment. At the far end of the bridge, you notice that it wouldn't be too difficult to wander under the bridge. In fact, it appears that others have done so before...
If you find yourself at Teef the Troll's Treasure Trove, be sure to pay the toll! (If you take something, leave something, and as always leave your name and a message!) This Cache was made by a family of nerdy goofballs that love to camp (geocaching is also our jam!), enjoy!
