World Postcard Day with the 77's Event Cache

Geocaching and postcards go hand in hand.

We all know the joy of opening a container—whether that be a mailbox or a geocache—and discovering something unexpected hidden inside. What’s even better is getting the chance to meet people from around the world that share the same excitement. Both postcards and geocaches connect us to our community and make the world that we explore feel just a little bit closer.

Did you know that there’s an official day to celebrate postcards? October 1 is World Postcard Day! This day began in 2019 to mark the 150th anniversary of the postcard. Every year, postcard enthusiasts meet up to celebrate the occasion, even making special postcards and stamps!

World Postcard Day 2024 is coming up and Geocaching HQ is excited to announce a new souvenir to mark the occasion! Celebrate with us by posting an Attended log on any Event from September 29 to October 5, 2024.

Join us at McDonalds, 2750  W 104th Ave, Federal Heights, CO, from 9AM to 10AM, Wednesday, October 2nd,  for coffee, breakfast,  laughter, and geocaching camaraderie. Small TBs for discovery or moving on are always welcome.  McDonalds sells food and beverages for your consumption, but purchase is not required to attend. Come on out, we love to see new cachers and seasoned cachers.    All are welcome.
