There is no better place to celebrate 25 years of geocaching than at a Community Celebration event in the heart of Wisconsin in the community of Amherst
Amherst was established in 1853 and named after General Jeffrey Amherst of Revolutionary fame and the fact that he was a native of Amherst, Nova Scotia (home of GCBBA, Canada's 1st geocache hidden just 56 days after Dave Ulmer hid the first ever geocache in Oregon). Amherst is also the heart of the Tomorrow Valley (the Tomorrow River runs through Amherst) and is host to the Portage County fair.
Please stop in and join in the celebration of 25 years of all things geocaching. There will be much to share as we gather to tell of the stories and adventures of the road.
Whether you have been geocaching for years or just started geocaching, please plan to stop. There will be doorprizes with a drawing each half hour.
This event is being held at Central Waters Brewing Company in Amherst. There will be beverages; each geocacher is responsbile for his/her own purchases. Since there is no kitchen on site, Central Waters allows people to bring in food.
Bring your stories; bring your friends; bring your trackables!
