On Sunday the 23rd of November the Kippax Christmas lights will be turned on. This is a big free local event that involves an indoor and outdoor market, fairground rides, live music, some local celebrity turning on the lights, fireworks and of course the Christmas lights themselves.
The geocaching event is not part of the official event but I will be at the given coordinates which is a small community garden at the end of main street from 15:00, I'll have a log book and space for trackables so come and say hello. Please feel free to come and go as you please to enjoy the festivities and the stalls. At about 16:30 I'll relocate further up the main street towards the co-op to watch the fireworks and the lights turn on. it's an outdoor event in November so please dress appropriately. There are lots of pubs along the main street for drinks and other facilities but I image they will all be extremely busy.
Parking will be a challenge unfortunately as there will be lots of road closures, please check closer to the date (and I'll update you if I can) you will probably need to find some on street parking as close to the event as possible and walk to the event. I would avoid the co-op carpark (if it's even open) as there is parking enforcement cameras in place.
