Molehill Green is a quiet rural hamlet located in the parish of Takeley in Essex. For several years the area faced the possibility of demolition due to the expansion of the local airport. Although our Parish Council and local groups fought for the area, with such a threat hanging over, the hamlet took on an appearance of being unloved and forgotten. Many of the properties were purchased by the airport and let, many people came and left after a short time, with only a core group of long standing residents choosing to stay.
Thankfully the area has been saved and the threat of demolition has been removed. Today, Mole Hill Green is experiencing a growth in it's population, with housing developments bringing in new residents and families, which is a welcome sight and a positive change for the area.
