Geocache Description:

  • The Cedar Lounge Raheny is one of Raheny’s most relaxing places, brilliant for a nice quiet drink with friendly people and great staff.

Β

  • I grew up around the area where my parents still reside. This pub is our family favourite from over the years. It brings and brought some very memorableΒ times of love, laughter and happinessΒ over a drink πŸ₯‚! When my dad sets off down to the Cedars my children ask, β€œGrandad where are you going?”. He responds with… β€œgoing to see a man about a dog!”. The kids will often ask β€œhow is the dog?”

Β

  • Not only is it a popular spot for my family and others in the community, it is very popular with fans of Roddy Doyle’s iconic Irish film, β€œThe Snapper”. The Cedars Lounge was the pub of choice for Sharon and her Dad, Dessie Curley back when it was filmed in 1993.
