Another cache in our NE Riverbend series. This stormwater retention pond was created several years ago and is a great place for a stroll. It does not always hold much water but there is usually some interesting wildlife to be seen or heard including some songbird and waterfowl species that are not commonly seen in the city.
The park can be accessed by crossing 24th Street from numerous places in the community of Riverbend if you're grabbing some other caches in the community or there are also two pullouts to park at on 24th Street itself. One just south of the park and one right at the top of the pathway that circles the pond.
Although the container is small in size it only holds enough room for a log sheet so there is no room for trade items, you'll also need your own pen to sign. It may also be inaccessible if there's a lot of snow.
