Bulahdelah's Big Bass was carved by local craftsmen from a single piece of Brush Box. This icon of the town was presented to Bulahdelah in 2006. The Bass Bash is an annual fishing competition run by the Bulahdelah Fishing Club. Held on the second weekend in February every year with prizes for the best catches. Funds raised aid restocking of the Myall River with bass.
Bulahdelah now has a second bass, not as big though! To find it, visit the Big Bass at the published coordinates, then go for Bulahdelah's other bass.
There are some plaques at Bulahdelah's Big Bass.
