Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the former site of a seasonal forest forest farm (fäbod). There are still remainings of houses, some household goods (like a rusty laundry kettle) and earth cellar. In previous times pastures near the villages did most time not give enough food for the cattle, so during summer and fall they were taken out to remote pasture grounds. Gymåsbo is such a place where cattle could graze for some time in late summer and fall. You can drive almost all the way on gravel roads, then follow the direction which a weathered sign is showing for like 250m, however a path is hardly visible. My tip however is to walk the entire "Gruvleden" hiking trail (9km loop) starting in Voxna Bruk and then add the little 250m detour to Gymåsbo. Gruvleden starts at the old furnance in Voxna bruk and is marked with orange signs, at he starting point there should also be a brochure available. If you  download the app "Naturkartan" you can see the trail on the map. At the westernmost point you will see a sign pointing west to Gymåsbo. After only a few meters on a trail marked with faded blue dots you can use what is left of an old wooden bridge to cross a creek. A few more straight ditches (no problem to cross over with one big step) indicate that people have lived close by. After another maybe 200m there is an earth cellar just next to the trail, which climbs slightly uphills. When the terrain flattens out you have the first house foundations to your left, overgrown by trees. It is obvisous that the terrain here was levelled out. The caches is located where another building was standing. Check the spoiler picture and pleae leave it in the same position.
This place breaths history and let's you wonder hop people lived like 100, 200 years ago. Gymåsbo was inhibated (in summers?) until 1957! After iron production started in Voxna bruk it was soon no longer used as a pasture, but those who produced the huge amounts of charcoal needed for the iron production lived there. In the 1960s the buildings were demolished (like many other similar places), the ground ploughed and forest took over.
GPS signal recepion can be a problem, due to the dense vegetation.
