Did You Know – The footbridge was the first collaborative Artwork footbridge in New Zealand.
The inspiration for the bridge was the form and colour of the Rewarewa flower and seed pod. Virginia King had been commissioned to work in collaboration with City Design Architects, Auckland. The bridge was built in 1997 and the length is 36-metres.
