Freneau Woods Park, is a 313 acre area in Aberdeen Township. It features extensive woodland, essential wildlife habitat, and contributes to maintaining regional water quality. The park is named after Philip Morin Freneau, whose family once owned part of the land, the park includes several hiking trails including Inspiration Point and Woods Walk. It is historically and environmentally significant, developed through a partnership between the Monmouth County Park System and the Monmouth Conservation Foundatio. It provides much-needed open space in a densely populated area.
Trails may be accessed from the Monastery Lane and Greenwood Avenue entrances. To find you're way to this cache, you'll need to find the Pond Walk trail head near the Magnolia Visitor Center.
