Welcome to the ACC Challenge:
Stanford University Edition
The cache IS at the posted coordinates.
The difficulty is because of the distance you must travel to qualify for this challenge... which can be a MAJOR undertaking, and just goes to show how hard it is playing in the ACC these days. So. Much. Travel.
WILD FACT: In 2023, the Stanford Cardinal women's volleyball team traveled over 13,000 miles after their first two matches, and nearly 34,000 miles by the end of the regular season. This was the most travel ever for a college fall sports program.
Actual difficulty of the hide is more like a 1/1.5
Parking during game day or reunion weekend might be hard, but all other times should be real easy!
You can sign the log anytime, but to claim a find, you need to complete the following challenge:

Stanford University
- Santa Clara County, California -
Your challenge is to find a geocache (or attend an event) for at least half the schools in the conference, which is at least 9 of the 18 ACC Universities. That means logging a find in at least 9 of the counties that are home to the Atlantic (*Ahem*) Coast Conference. Here's a list of all the ACC schools and their respective counties. If you are interested in creating a version of your own on another qualifying campus, let me know!
Boston College - Middlesex County AND Suffolk County, Masschussetts
University of California, Berkeley - Alameda County, California
Clemson University - Pickens County, South Carolina
Duke University - Durham County, North Carolina
Florida State University - Leon County, Florida
Georgia Institue of Technology - Fulton County, Georgia
University of Louisville - Jefferson County, Kentucky
University of Miami - Miami-Dade County, Florida
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Orange County, North Carolina
North Carolina State University - Wake County, North Carolina
University of Notre Dame - St. Joesph County, Indiana
University of Pittsburgh - Allegheny County, Pennsylvania
Southern Methodist University - Dallas County, Texas
Stanford University - Santa Clara County, California
Syracuse University - Onondaga County, New York
University of Virginia - Albemarle County AND City of Charlottesville, Virginia
Virginia Polytechnic University - Montgomery County, Virginia
Wake Forest University - Forsyth County, North Carolina
Note: It doesn't matter what date your finds were hidden, what date you found them, what type they are, size, terrain, nor what difficulty. As long as you have at least 9 of the counties from the list represented in your finds, you are victorious and can log this as an offiicial find after signing. For each county containing a school, any find/attended log counts as a point (excluding only lab caches), but only 1 point max per county, as they each only have 1 ACC school. 9 Points and you're qualified... 18 if you want to run the table and claim conference dominance.

First to run the complete conference going 18 for 18: mblatch
