Ahoy, library lovers! Bookbeak the owl has hidden treasure near the Englewood Charlotte Library. Grab yer mateys, check out a few books and movies, and venture outside to discover the loot fer yerself.
The Englewood Charlotte Public Library sits between the Tringali Recreation Center and Tringali Community Center. First established on McCall Road in 1962, the library moved to Placida Road in 1970 and then to its current location in 1989. As the community continued to grow, the library grew, too. A 2013 renovation doubled the size of the building and added the archives, making room for a collection of 34,000 items. The Learning Garden is a new endeavor in progress with plans to offer a unique sensory experience, as well as engage the community in learning about native plants and growing food. The computer lab has been transformed into a Makerspace featuring 3D printers, Cricut machines, sewing machines, and more, fostering an environment to explore, form ideas, and encourage creativity.
