St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church was built in 1875 and cost £3000 including the presbytery and school. When built, it could accommodate 300 people and replaced a chapel nearby which Havant's Roman Catholics used before then.
The church was formally Consecrated in 1907 and the centenary of the consecration is marked by the large marble stone next to the main entrance.

At the front of the church is a bench in memory of someone special. Make their dates ABCD-EFGH
The cache is at N50° 5(E-G).(C-A)(D+C)(C+E) W(C-E)° (H+G)(D+A+E).(H-F)(B-G-A)(F+B).
