Before running into the surrounding area, read everything and do some homework to help you find what's needed to get inside the cache as well as helping out once inside.

1. Orions Belt has how many bright stars?
2. What color are the stars?
3. What is the total of all same color containers in the cache?
4. What is the total of all the odd color containers in the cache?
Take the total of both even & odd numbers and add 2, then round up to the next even number and multiply by 4. Using that final number, find a container with the number in that set of numbers. When you find that container, you have correctly done the math that may lead you to a container with the log, and you won't be BLUE about the find. The correct choice will be as black and white and red all over as a newspaper, with no gray area in the middle.
Oh, it will also help to know in the selection of the correctly marked and colored container, I am red/green colorblind, my apologies!
Lastly, if you have RED this far without doing anything - to gain admittance to the cache, you need to know your alphabet and the numbers corresponding to D N A.* Once you open the outside lock do not rearrange numbers or turn lock clasp 90 degrees, please set aside so the code stays as is for you to relock thhe container.
