Il nuraghe Corongiu Maria è un nuraghe a corridoio con ingressi orientati a Est e a Ovest, situato in posizione dominante. Da qui si apre uno spettacolare panorama sul canyon formato dal lago artificiale del Flumendosa e sulle catene montuose circostanti. Questo punto strategico permette di avvistare numerosi altri nuraghi di epoche successive, alcuni dei quali oggi sono sommersi da rocce spostate durante la pulizia dei pascoli o avvolti da vegetazione. Un antico sentiero, forse utilizzato per la transumanza, corre lungo il perimetro del nuraghe e si estende per – chilometri, collegando la Barbagia di Seulo al maestoso Nuraghe Arrubiu. Il nuraghe Corongiu Maria è posto in una posizione dominante da cui si può ammirare il canyon formato dal fiume Flumendosa. A ridosso del nuraghe corre per chilometri un percorso che conduce dalla Barbagia di Seulo sino al nuraghe Arrubiu, probabilmente un sentiero di antiche transumanze.
Dal momento che il sentiero per arrivare alla cache è impervio, in alcuni tratti non tracciato e su proprietà private, la cache è posta in una posizione da cui è possibile vedere il nuraghe.
The Nuraghe Corongiu Maria is a corridor-type nuraghe with entrances facing east and west, located in a commanding position. From here, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of the canyon carved by the artificial lake of Flumendosa and the surrounding mountain ranges. This strategic location offers a vantage point to spot numerous other nuraghi from later periods, some of which are now buried under displaced rocks or overgrown with vegetation. An ancient path, likely used for transhumance, runs along the perimeter of the nuraghe and stretches for kilometers, linking the Barbagia of Seulo to the majestic Nuraghe Arrubiu.
Since the path to get to the cache is impervious, unmarked in some sections and on private property, the cache is placed in a position from which it is possible to see the nuraghe.
