Geocache Description:

THE SLAGA TWELVE DAYS OF CACHEMAS ARE BACK!!!

Here’s how it works: For 12 consecutive days beginning December 13th (Day 1), a new cache will be published and every day afterwards until December 24th. If you are able to First to Find, FTF, one of these daily caches, an FTF Cachemas Ornament will be in the container for you to keep. Once again, L Frank has designed a unique ornament that can be converted to a cache container for a future hide; or, you may keep it, your choice. PLEASE, if you get an FTF on one of the 12 days, do not go for another one until Bonus Day, let someone else have the fun.

This year, there will be a Bonus Cache on December 28th. EVERYONE is eligible to FTF the bonus whether or not you have FTFed a Cachemas hide. This cache can only be found by using all the codes contained inside of the container of each daily cache. Keep these codes and use them to solve the location of the Bonus cache which will publish on December 28th. The method to solve the Bonus will be included in the final day Cache description, and I am promised, it is not a difficult solution. We are publishing the Bonus four days after Day 12 in order to give cachers extra time to acquire any codes they may need.

THE BONUS CACHE CONTAINS TWO LARGE PREMIUM GEOCOINS

AS WELL AS AN AWESOME ORNAMEN!

This Geocache Description:

Today is our last day of competitions for the Ice Games. It’s been a spirited and fun competition, so far, and the Games will be missed when they’re over!

Seven events have been completed, and so far, gold medals have been awarded to Comet in the Speed Skating event, Blitzen for Ski Jumping, Dancer in Figure Skating, Dasher in the first-ever Luge competition, Donner for the High Jump, Prancer in the Around-the-World race, and Vixen for Snowboarding.

Today, we have the second and final day of the last events, the Cross-Country Skiing competition, and the competition to see who will lead Santa’s sleigh this year. The reindeer made a good start yesterday on the 30-mile course. And there’s about 20 miles left to go!

Let’s check in with the famous host Jason McFrost Elf and see what’s happening on the course.

“Well guys, we’re coming down to the final stretch run. And Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Rudolph and Blitzen are all skiing well. It’s going to be a close finish!”

Yes, it is. The reindeer are close to the finish line now, and two deer have taken a lead on the rest of the pack. Cupid and Rudolph have made a move away from the rest and are trying to win the last gold medal of the Games! It’s going to be close. Back and forth they go. Cupid and Rudolph. Rudolph and Cupid!

And across the finish line, it’s Cupid! Cupid is the winner of this event of this year’s Reindeer Games, the Cross-Country Ski race.

Santa’s reindeer have one more race to see who will lead the sleigh this year. Medals were given to the top three reindeer. In what order did they finish?

Blitzen finished two ahead of Cupid and three ahead Vixen.

Rudolph finished just ahead of Blitzen and just behind Dancer.

Only one reindeer was slower than Cupid.

Comet was pleased to have beaten Rudolph, but he wished that he’d also beaten Dasher.

Prancer, Comet, and Dasher all won medals.

Donner was unhappy to be in the bottom half of the results.

Prancer was delighted to beat Dasher.

Well, that’s it for the competition for this year. All the reindeer gave their very best in every race. They tried as hard as they could. And that’s what is most important. Sometimes you will finish first, and sometimes not. But you can always give a good effort, and try to improve at whatever you do. Let’s hope that is a lesson we can all follow.

Well, that’s it for the competition for the year, but check back tomorrow for the Closing Ceremonies when the reindeer will be saluted for their good efforts in the Games.

To solve for this puzzle you will need to come up with what order the Reindeer ranked, and also find the number that is needed for use in the coordinates. The reindeer ranking is the order of the numbers to be used for the coordinates.
