Step back in time to Spirit Lake circa 1910.
This is the site of the Idaho & Washington Northern Railroad Spirit Lake Depot. Today only this rock formation still stands, but take some time to explore the area around and see if you can find any other remains. On the opposite side of Maine St. the railroad shops and repair facility operated. Today the roundhouse cement slab still exists and can be seen on Google Earth. If you venture in to downtown Spirit Lake, you can purchase a Spirit Lake history book from the Trains and Antique store with many more historical pictures and information about the old rail depot.
