Elektrárna:
Elektrárna Počerady je jednou z největších uhelných elektráren v České republice. Nachází se v severozápadní části země, poblíž obce Počerady v Ústeckém kraji. Elektrárna byla uvedena do provozu v 70. letech 20. století a skládá se z pěti výrobních bloků, z nichž každý má výkon přibližně 200 MW, což dává celkový instalovaný výkon kolem 1 000 MW a dosahuje roční výroby přibližně 6000 GWh elektrické energie.
Elektrárna byla uvedena do provozu v letech 1970 a 1971 a v 90. letech prošla rozsáhlou ekologizací, včetně instalace odsiřovacích zařízení. V letech 2014–2015 došlo k další modernizaci bloků 2 až 5, což vedlo ke snížení emisí oxidů dusíku o 60 %.
V areálu elektrárny se nachází také paroplynová elektrárna o výkonu 888 MW, která využívá zemní plyn a odpadní teplo k výrobě elektrické energie.
Dne 31. prosince 2020 převzala elektrárnu skupina Sev.en Energy finančníka Pavla Tykače od společnosti ČEZ. Po převzetí byly zahájeny rozsáhlé modernizační práce v řádu miliard korun s cílem splnit přísnější emisní limity a zajistit ekologičtější provoz elektrárny.
Elektrárna Počerady je významným zdrojem elektrické energie v České republice, dodávajícím až 7 % elektřiny do národní sítě. Současně však patří mezi největší zdroje emisí skleníkových plynů v zemi, což vyvolává diskuse o její budoucnosti a potřebě další ekologizace.

Power Plant:
The Počerady Power Plant is one of the largest coal-fired power plants in the Czech Republic. Located in the northwestern part of the country near the village of Počerady in the Ústí nad Labem Region, the plant was commissioned in the 1970s. It consists of five production units, each with an output of approximately 200 MW, giving a total installed capacity of around 1,000 MW and achieving an annual production of approximately 6,000 GWh of electrical energy.
The power plant was put into operation in 1970 and 1971 and underwent extensive environmental upgrades in the 1990s, including the installation of desulfurization equipment. Further modernization of units 2 to 5 took place in 2014–2015, leading to a 60% reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions.
Within the power plant complex, there is also an 888 MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant that uses natural gas and waste heat to generate electricity.
On December 31, 2020, the Sev.en Energy group owned by financier Pavel Tykač acquired the power plant from the company ČEZ. After the acquisition, extensive modernization work costing billions of crowns was initiated to meet stricter emission limits and ensure a more environmentally friendly operation.
The Počerady Power Plant is a significant source of electrical energy in the Czech Republic, supplying up to 7% of the nation's electricity. However, it is also among the largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions in the country, prompting discussions about its future and the need for further environmental measures.
