Geocache Description:

This cache is located is North of Freeman Road in Pinal County. The cache is at/near an interesting geographical feature alongside the Arizona Trail.

This cache is at/near a very cool geographical area in Pinal County. If you make your approach using Freeman Road, then Hayden Ranch road until it becomes Tecalote Ranch Road, it is all on improved dirt roads that are easily driven in any vehicle (rainy weather excepted). The last 1/2 mile requires a high clearance vehicle to get to a parking area near a wash (alternately, you can park off Tecalote Ranch Road and hike the 1/2 mile in). From the wash, your final hike is approx. 1/4 mile. You may also hike the Arizona Trail in the area and you will come very near the cache. There are many hiding places for a cache in the area, so be prepared to look around. You may want to avoid sandals for this one.

This segment of the Arizona Trail is called the Boulders Segment and is a beautiful, secluded, well-marked desert trail open for hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. Enjoy!

If you choose to use any of the side roads off of Freeman Road you should have a State Trust Land Recreational Permit which can be obtained from the State Land Department. The website with permit info is (visit link) The cost is $15 for individuals and $20 for families per year.

Beware snakes in the area, especially noted in the spring time.
