THIS IS THE FIRST DAY OF CITO SEASON 2025. Come on out and help support the continuing Clean-Up of the Causeway.. Along with your continued support of this area you should also recieve the New Souvenir for the new CITO Season of 2025.
I have walked the CAUSEWAY several times these past few weeks and the path in any direction sure could use a clean-up. There are few changes to the landscape since we were last here due to last years Hurricanes. Some trees are now missing or uorooted and now there are some entrances to the water through the mangroves .
Bring gloves and any picker-upper you may have. If you have a reflective vest, please bring that as well. I will provide water and plenty of garbage bags. We will need plenty of bags. When full we can leave them by any trash can and if there isn't one near your full spot, they can be left by the guard rail. The county will be waiting for my call to come pick them up.
I have received permission to host this event from "KEEP TAMPA BAY BEAUTIFUL" and their POC is Kari Baker (813-221-8733) . They will be providing most of the supplies we will be using today. There are trash cans in the area located along the path where we be dropping the bags and trash we pick-up.
