REVISED (8/1/2014):
The cache is located north of Boise at 5987.5 feet. The drive is rougher than it was 13 years ago. A 4-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended. It is located only a few hundred feet from the parking location. The brush around the cache location is intense, so pants and a long sleeve shirt is recommended. The coordinates have changes slightly, so make sure you are using the most recent.
We planted this cache with our kids when they were 5 and 7 with grandma and grandpa. This year (8/1/2014) we decided to visit and update the cache container. The cache is now a green ammo box. We updated the contents with a few cool items like some camo face paint, mini carabiner, mini glass vial (empty), a new log book and pencil, as well as what was in there when we refreshed it. Sign the log book, trade some goods, but leave the pencil, please.
I've been told that there is a gate that is closed preventing you from getting closer than ~2 miles from the cache. This seems to be seasonal, due to winter weather conditions.
Can't believe this one has lasted 13 years since we first placed it. Enjoy the great view of Boise!
