Hello Sunshine - Cape Verde

Escaping the Welsh weather in chilly, wintery January I am visiting Sal, Cape Verde with my muggle-other, staying north of Santa Maria.
Just a short meet & greet event near the beach/ pier, at the Georges Vynckier* statue (which may or may not be in place - apparently it's missing as at December 2024).
This event will give us a chance to visit Santa Maria as the sun sets and enjoy an evening exploring outside the hotel.
Hopefully the weather will be kind, but if there is rain (unlikely!) we may shelter at the bar in nearby Palm Beach restaurant.
A chance to meet up with any local, or other visiting geocachers while we are here.
