Welcome fellow adventurers, to Cobbler Creek West Reserve, nestled in the heart of what was once proudly known as the “World’s Best Address”. Prepare to “cache up on history" as you uncover the story of Delfin’s iconic Golden Grove development. This isn’t just any geocache, it’s truly a “sound” investment in the past.

“Amp” up your geocaching game to the next level with this unique find but heed my “sound advice”; tread carefully as you navigate the bushland to reach the cache’s well-hidden spot.
You are looking for a 100 mm wide PVC pipe spray painted black.
Notes:
- The top of the cache does not need to be removed, and no tools are needed besides batteries and some walking shoes to access the logbook and complete this cache.
- Even though this cache is accessible at nighttime, I would highly recommend a visit during daylight hours for safety due to the terrain.
Objective:
Listen to the audio track on the cache to reveal the coordinates to a street sign in walking distance (about 10 minutes). The street sign features a sticker which is the code to unlock the padlock on the cache when you return to it.
Instructions:
- Once you find the cache (easiest to access from The Golden Way), open the “bottom” of the container marked with a number “1”. The hooks are there to help you open the cache.
- Insert the three AA batteries.
- Open the side marked “2” by undoing the wing nut and removing the bolt.
- Press the large circle button for 3 seconds to turn the speaker on. The speaker will say “SD card mode”.
- The audio track will begin where it was last stopped, even if the batteries have been removed. To begin at the start of the audio track, press either the “+” or “-” buttons. To play or pause the audio track, press the play/pause button. The “M” button does not need to be pressed as it will turn the speaker off.
- In the 59 second looping audio track, there are four numbers spoken. Record these four numbers.
A – 2 digits (AA)
B – 4 digits (BBBB)
C – 4 digits (CCCC)
D – 5 digits (DDDDD)
- To turn the speaker off, either hold down the large circle button for 3 seconds or remove the batteries.
- Use these digits to find the coordinates of a street sign in walking distance:
Latitude: -34.970877 + 00.AABBBB
Longitude: -61.114237 + CCC.CDDDDD
Tutorial on adding with negative numbers: https://youtu.be/1VFj_coqKQU?si=kcSRZOFBw_qvqiT2
- Leave the cache in place as you walk to the street sign. You will be returning to the cache.
- On the back of the street sign there is a sticker. Use the last three digits (ignoring the slash) to unlock the padlock on the cache and open the side marked “3”, containing the logbook.
Once the logbook is signed, please tightly secure all caps removed from the cache and plaace the cache with the side marked “Bottom” facing the ground.
