Geocache Description:

CONGRATULATIONS FYRMEDIC1244 FOR THE FIRST TO FIND!!!

While we were hiding this cache we got a beautiful view of an eagle flying over the pond.  Hopefully you get a view as well.

From Google:  A pinky swear is a gesture where two people lock their pinkies to signify a promise has been made. It's a traditional gesture that's most commonly used among children. For example, "Pinky swear you won't go in my bedroom".

The tradition may have originated from older finger traditions and is relatively modern. In Japan, it was once believed that if a pinky promise was broken, the person who broke it would have to cut off their pinky finger.

When used in reference to adults, the term "pinky swear" can have negative or sarcastic connotations. It can imply that the promise was made lightly or without the intention of being honored.

Geocacher "Eagle03" made a pinky swear with his dad about hiding 3 caches.  I didn't understand completely but I'm always up for a challenge and I keep my promises.  This cache is number 1 of 3 of the Pinky Swears and a shout out to Eagles03.

I googled pinky swear after I hid the caches.  Obviously, I took the children's version of pinky swear and completed the task.  Then when I read the adult reference, it all made sense. He made the pinky swear with sarcastic connotations, without the intention of being honored.

I just keep learning something new everyday.  In the meantime another three caches are hidden.

Happy Caching.
