Welcome to Central Park!
It's time for another stroll through the park.
Explanations:
You may have noticed that this letterbox icon for this cache is in the middle of the lake in Central Park! This is not the actual location! As a joke, someone deleted my starting GPS coordinates. They have provided me the distance and bearing from this location to the REAL starting point of our adventure!
In the waypoints, you will find the coordinates of where the letterbox hybrid icon is currently located.
The distance and bearing to the actual point is: 361.70 metres at a bearing of 188.49 degrees from the current location.
Once you calculate the updated coordinates, start your walk from there. (you should be near a sign to start)
Your adventure should take less than an hour (depending on how fast you walk)
In this letterbox hybrid, we will take a walk and find a cache by following the signs. There are many signs in Central Park. Some park signs instruct its users on Park Etiquette, some instruct us on what to do with wildlife encounters, others have maps that show us the trails and services throughout the park.
But for this adventure, we will use some of the signs to direct us to this letterbox hybrid (mainly those that have arrows on them).

Directions Proper:
Start at the coordinates you calculated from above. Good luck on your adventure!
- there is a post with the Terry Fox run on it, showing 4.0 km, follow the arrow (start walking in the direction of the arrow until you find the next sign)
- the next sign is the Trail of Hope, follow the arrow
- follow arrow where it points to pitch and putt 0.12km
- follow arrow to tennis courts 0.5km
- follow arrow to Midline trail 0.2 km
- follow arrow pointing to skytrain (look across 4 way main trail)
- follow arrow to washroom 0.5km
- follow arrow to Skytrain 0.35km
- follow arrow that says 1.7km Terry Fox 5km route
- follow arrow Skytrain 0.2km
- follow arrow for Skytrain
- walk past kiosk sign
- bear right at drinking water fountain (Discovery Products Ltd sign)
- when you reach city sidewalk, continue to walk in that direction where you should see a shared pathway sign (the sign is on a light post that is slightly hidden by branches)
- Starting from this light post (include this one in the count), count 4 light posts and stop
- walking in the same direction as the 4 light posts, go behind the first Cedar tree that is directly on the same line as the light posts and you'll find the prize. This is muggle central (pun intended!) so be as discreet as you can be!
