GIFF 2025:
From finding new favorite places, people, and puzzles, geocaching is full of moments that should be captured on film and shared with the global geocaching community. The Geocaching International Film Festival is a place for geocachers to showcase their talents and put their creativity to the test.
This year’s GIFF theme is “TFTC—Thanks For The Community!” and the color is silver, the traditional gift for a 25th anniversary.
The Monterey Peninsula showing of the 2025 GIFF will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. 800 Cass Street. Monterey. The event will be held from 2-4PM with the short films being shown on a projector in the fellowship/reception hall beginning at 2:30PM. Folding chairs will be provided as well as popcorn. You are welcome to bring your own snacks. The film reel will run approximately an hour.
Parking is plentiful on Saturday: the church parking lot, streetside parking on Cass St and Dormody Ct and parking under 880 Cass are all available.
This event is also a 'Community Celebration' event (I did meet the prerequisites last year with my 'No GIFF Beach Event' (GCAZ9G9) and a new puzzle cache) and as such has a special event icon and qualifies you for the 2025 Community Celebration souvenir (if you haven't already received it)

Will there be a souvenir this year?
Yes! Earn the GIFF 2025 souvenir by posting an Attended log for any Event that is on the List of approved GIFF 2025 Events. Please note that there is no trackable souvenir option this year; the souvenir will only be available by attending an in-person GIFF Event.

Yes! If you qualified to host a Community Celebration Event (CCE) in 2025, you can combine them into one geo-tastic Event! Participants will earn both the 2025 Community Celebration Event souvenir and the GIFF 2025 souvenir.
