This geocache is named after the Huangpu Children's Park, which is located just beyond the rusting perimeter gateway at the bridge which houses the magnetic cache.
The year of the tiger in 2010 was an impressive one for Guangzhou. The greenways were launched, the Asian Games hosted, the first segregated bike lanes for more than a decade were implemented, the BRT opened, and Liuyun Xiaoqu received a major upgrade along with scores of other neighbourhoods. One of those projects was the precursor to the Huangpu Children's Park. The initial park was rudimentary, clearing farming land and replacing it with some winding pathways amonst the greenery. The area didn't change much until 2014, when it received a complete overhaul and the Children's Park was formally established. Since then the park hasn't changed much. Guardians, sometimes parents but more often attentive and under-occupied grandparents (hence 'stealth required'), sit around while children enjoy the space.
