Welcome to the Railtrail that Time Forgot. This is the parking for the Havelock ATV trail (west) and Snowmobile trail (east) that parallels Highway 7.
The parking is free and is open year-round. From here you can access the trail and enjoy it by snowmobile or ATV (with permits) or simply walk the trail on foot. The geocaches are winter friendly and were placed in winter. In other seasons, it may be possible to ride the trail by mountain bike, though it may be bumpy due to the iron stones on the trail.
All geocaches were placed close to the trail, but, as with all trails in southern Ontario, be mindful of poison ivy and ticks. Most of all, enjoy the hike and nature. We spotted rabbit and coyote tracks in the snow along the trail. The old forgotten railway tracks with small trees growing between the rails is a unique sight.
