Welcome to the Rail trail that Time Forgot. This is the trail west from the parking on Preneveau Road (County Road 50) which runs towards Havelock, paralleling Highway 7.
The trail here is can be used by ATV (with a permit) but is uneven, and is probably best enjoyed on foot. The geocaches are winter friendly and were placed in winter. In other seasons, it may be possible to ride the trail by mountain bike, though it may be bumpy due to the iron stones on the trail and uneven ground.
All geocaches were placed close to the trail, but, as with all trails in southern Ontario, be mindful of poison ivy and ticks. Most of all, enjoy the hike and nature. We spotted rabbit and coyote tracks in the snow along the trail. The old forgotten railway tracks with small trees growing between the rails is a unique sight.
