Our favorite type of hide is one with really amazing camo. You know, the ones that make you think they are everyday objects and sometimes you even have your hands on them before realizing they are caches. Lamenting our lack of useful skills for creating such hides, the thought dawned that perhaps there was also something to be admired about the opposite of camo. And thus this mini-series of caches was born.
The first Opposite of Camo (GCA7R68) is in the woods, which seemed like a good place to start with this concept. Here we are trying something a little more urban.
The hide is not indoors, but it is under a roof, so accurate coordinates are challenging to get. GZ is on the top floor of the garage. Please retrieve and replace carefully so that you don't drop the cache, it's a long way down from here. Terrain rating based on stairs - but this level can also be accessed by car, of course.
I recommend the following mental soundtrack for your search: apply the lyrics below to the 1983 song "The Politics of Dancing" (a 1980s treasure, the music video, is here).
We got the message
I got it on my cell phone
The geocachers
Have gone loco
These guys aren't trying
to hide this thingy
It seems they wanted
to make it blingy
Though you know you can't stop it
When they start to play
You gotta get out the way
The opposite of camo
The opposite of, ooh, hiding good
The opposite of camo, aha
If this cache is understood... [REPEAT!]
