The cache is located near a 4 X 4 drive road and the section of road near the area where the cache is hidden gets pretty steep and rugged. We had to put the Trooper in 4 low and go slow. It is not a long drive it just gets a little bad near the cache. After that the road gets a lot better. It is on a part of the road not on the GPS map. The walk to the cache is not that bad depending on where you stop.
I found this interesting area a year ago when my daughter and I were out for a Sunday drive. I have planned to put my first traditional cache here for some time. The cache is an ammo-can and the contents are: log book, pencil, Patterson High School key chain, bag of rocks, paper book mark, Fuji tape cassette, 2 Australian 20 cent pieces, a 1 Norwegian Kroner, a 5 Norwegian Kroner, and a map of California.
Once in the general location is found the cache should not be that difficult to find. You can stop at the bottom of the hill and then turn around and go back the way you came in or you can go up the rugh area to the top and back to the main road a different way.
