Röe borg hade sin storhetstid under 1400-talet och tidigt 1500-tal som låg här i dåvarande Norge, i vad som idag är Lysekils kommun, och gårdsnamnet lever kvar än idag med gården vid bergets fot.
Då var den befästa gården en symbol för prestige, med dubbla vallgravar.
På Röe levde man ett bekvämt liv. Idag syns endast några husgrunder och en damm på bergets topp.
Parkering finns vid Röe gård. Följ sedan stigen(se waypoint) runt till bergets baksida där en trappa leder upp till borgruinen.
Röe Castle had its glory days during the 15th century and early 16th century, located here in what was then Norway, in what is now Lysekil municipality, and the farm name still lives on today with the farm at the foot of the mountain.
At that time, the fortified farm was a symbol of prestige, with double moats.
People lived a comfortable life on Röe. Today, only a few house foundations and a pond are visible on the top of the mountain.
Parking is available at Röe gård. Then follow the path(see waypoint) around to the back of the mountain where a staircase leads up to the castle ruins.
