Geocache Description:

A cache in the musical theatre series.

"Slide some oil to me
Let it trickle down my spine
If you don't have S.T.P
Crisco will do just fine

Slide some to my elbows
And to my fingers if you would

Slide some oil to me, girl
Whoo! Don't that feel good!

Slide some oil to my feet
Look-a-there! I got toes again
Come on, slide some oil to my knees
And let me see if I can bend

Slide some oil to me
I'm beginning to feel just fine

Slide some oil down my throat
And let me lubricate my mind

Slide some oil to me
Go ahead, hit my shoulder blades
Those who don't have to lubricate
Sure got it made

Slide some oil to me..."

Slide Some Oil To Me features in The Wiz the Musical, a vibrant and reimagined adaptation of L. Frank Baum's classic novel, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." With a book by William F Brown, the musical infuses the beloved story with an energetic blend of soul, R&B, and gospel music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls.

The story follows Dorothy, a young girl from Kansas, who is swept away by a tornado to the fantastical land of Oz. In her quest to return home, she embarks on a journey along the yellow brick road, where she encounters three unique companions: the Scarecrow, who desires a brain; the Tin Man, who longs for a heart; and the Cowardly Lion, who seeks courage.

Together, they face various challenges and adversaries, including the Wicked Witch of the West. Along the way, they discover their own strengths and the power of friendship. Dorothy's ultimate goal is to meet the mysterious Wiz, a powerful figure who she believes can help her return home.

Filled with dazzling performances, memorable songs, and dynamic choreography, The Wiz: The Musical celebrates themes of self-discovery, empowerment, and the importance of believing in oneself. This enchanting and spirited production offers a fresh and modern twist on the timeless tale of The Wizard of Oz, captivating audiences with its vibrant energy and heartwarming message.

Slide Some Oil To Me is sung by the Tin Man once Dorothy and the Scarecrow find him rusted up, as a request for them to oil his joints so that he can move again, after which they travel down the Yellow Brick Road en route to meet The Wiz. In the play and The Wiz Live!, the Tin Man sings this song after Dorothy and the Scarecrow first meet him. However, in the film version the song was moved because Dorothy and the Scarecrow first find him squished by his wife Teeney instead of rusted, and he doesn't become rusted until after telling Dorothy and the Scarecrow his story, which causes him to cry.
