Derfor er det kun autoriseret personale, der kan færdes på selve havneområdet – men du kan stadig nyde udsigten og fornemme havnens betydning her fra indgangen.
Kolding Havn håndterer årligt omkring 1 million tons gods, herunder råmaterialer som sten, korn og træ. Det gør den til en vigtig spiller i regionens erhvervsliv og forsyningskæde. This geocache takes you to an important part of Kolding’s infrastructure – the industrial harbor, which serves as a central hub for transportation and trade in the area. Located along Kolding Fjord, the harbor was established in 1843, making it one of Denmark's older harbors with a long history of shipping and industry. Over the years, it has been expanded and modernized to accommodate larger ships and meet today’s demands for safety and efficiency.
As an international harbor, Kolding Industrial Harbor is ISPS-certified (International Ship and Port Facility Security), meaning there are strict security requirements for both ships and port facilities, including surveillance and access control. For this reason, only authorized personnel are allowed inside the harbor area itself – but you can still enjoy the view and sense the harbor's importance from this entrance point.
Kolding Harbor handles approximately 1 million tons of cargo annually, including raw materials such as stone, grain, and timber. This makes it a key player in the region’s business and supply chains. Take some time to explore the area around the harbor – remember to show consideration and maintain a distance from any work that may be taking place in the area and to be discreet when finding the cache.
