Geocache Description:

I recently completed a year-long term in Kansas with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and I have lots of new information to share. In this series, I will be sharing all the insights and experiences that I gained while living in the Sunflower State.

EXPLORATION DESTINATION

When it comes to geocaching, there seems to be a general consensus that one of the best parts of this game is all the neat places it takes you to. Despite being classified a fly-over state, Kansas was no exception. Every weekend was filled with new adventures and interesting spots packed with local history that made the search for every Kansas county enjoyable…you never knew what was next! Whether it was walking the streets in Kansas City, driving through dirt-road-grain-elevator towns in the middle of nowhere, hiking through the tallgrass prairie, or catching a glimpse of the wind farms soaring high over the fields of corn and sorghum, there was never a shortage of places to explore. As much as I would love to tell you about every single place I made it to, that probably wouldn’t be very fun for you. Instead, I’ve included photos of a handful of places my journey through Kansas took me.  Maybe you should try checking these places out yourself.
