Every year, we hope the balloons will go up, but different weather conditions can cause the launch to be cancelled for safety. If the wind is too fast at cruising altitude, if it's snowing or raining, too hot (not an issue in February in Wisconsin!), or, last year the cloud cover was too low (balloons would have been breaking through the clouds at the level that small planes fly), etc. Fingers crossed!!!
