Work that is required:
Unfortunately after Storm Eowyn, some of the trees planted around the Allan Water and Danny Burn have taken some wind damage and have fallen down. In light of this, Forth Rivers Trust have requested some help from the Geocachers to help with some damage control. This will mostly consist of straightening the posts, replacing damaged tubes, checking the saplings that are still there, and replanting the ones that didn't make it.
As usual the trust will bring some tea coffee and biscuits to have a nice break and freshen up.
If you are able to stay for the duration, that would be great, but if you need to leave then don't feel obliged to stay. Group photo will be taken at approximately half way through.
This event is weather dependent, so if a weather warning is issued or the water level is high, the trust would have to cancel.
SO PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON THE LISTING FOR ANY UPDATES!
It is advised to wear long trousers, long sleeve top and waterproof footwear. If you have garden gloves, please bring them along.
Forth Rivers Trust:

The Forth Rivers Trust aims to engage people with rivers and wildlife that live within the Forth catchment whilst conserving rivers and their important species for future generations. The Trust is involved with many projects ranging from full scale restoration of rivers to engaging communities through organised events.
Made up of 13 river catchments including a number of coastal burns, the Forth catchment is a unique and special place.
From Dunbar and Fife Ness in the East to Balquhidder in the West, to Kinross in the North and the pentlands in the South, the Forth catchment is vast and includes all rivers which flow into the Firth of Forth and Forth Estuary.
