A bronze statue of this frog stands at the entrance to the beach of Araya Seaside Park in Araya, Akita City, overlooking the Sea of Japan. The name is "Momosada Frog". The strange pose where he does a banzai pose with his left leg in the air draws laughter. In the past, the area around this park was called ``Momosada'' and was a very lively beach, but it was installed in March 1993 with the hope that ``the frogs will return to the bustle of the past,'' the ``frogs with trash'' symbolizing the desire to beautify the environment, and the prayers that ``those who visited the frogs would be safe without any accidents or injuries.'' 日本海を望む秋田市新屋の「新屋海浜公園」の浜の入り口に、このカエルの銅像が立っている。
名前は「ももさだカエル」。左足を浮かせてバンザイをする奇妙なポーズが笑いを誘う。
かつて、この公園周辺は「百三段（ももさだ）」と呼ばれ、海水浴場として大変にぎやかだった場所でしたが、「昔のにぎわいにカエル」ことを願い、「ごみを持ちカエル」という環境美化への思いを込め、「訪れた人たちが事故やけががなく無事カエル」ことを祈って、９３年３月に設置されました。
